The photo of Michelle Obama looking upset and angry while her husband, US President Barack Obama, shared a light moment with Denmark Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at the memorial service of former South African president Nelson Mandela has created ripples on the internet.
Obama and Michelle attended the memorial service of the anti-apartheid revolutionary Mandela, who died on 5 December, held at Johannesburg's Soccer City stadium on Tuesday.

However, the US President was caught on camera chatting and laughing with Thorning-Schmidt who was seated to his right. He was also spotted posing for a selfie with the Denmark PM and British Prime Minister David Cameron, inviting backlash from the public, as many thought it was not a good sight at a memorial service. Michelle was totally into the memorial proceedings when the trio posed for a photo, which many called a "funeral selfie".
One of the photos circulating on the internet has Michelle staring angrily while her husband was talking to the Denmark PM. The US first lady reportedly even switched seats with her husband some time later. However, it is not known if the change of seat was intentional.
Many took to Twitter to mock the US President for the selfie while appreciating his wife for her restraint at the memorial service.
"Michelle Obama VS Prime Minister Of Denmark, I think somebody is in trouble here," wrote a Twitter user. "Michelle Obama is a real one, switched seats after she saw they were too cosy," wrote another.
"I travelled all this way to be with a bunch of teens goofing around and taking selfies.... #MichelleObama #selfie" wrote a Twitter user, mocking the US President. "At least #MichelleObama showed some respect by not getting involved in the selfie brigade," wrote another.
"First lady #MichelleObama, all the respect to u. You hold it together unlike many others. Yesterday u were an epitome for tolerance," wrote a Twitter user.
It may be recalled that Edward Klein claimed in his book 'The Amateur' (2012) that Michelle does not trust her husband completely and insists on knowing his every movement, sparking off speculations of a possible marital discord.
