Cristiano Ronaldo was all smiles when he attended the launch of his new wax figure at the Museo de Cera Wax Museum in Madrid, Spain on Saturday.
Ronaldo's wax figure resembles quite a lot like the 28-year-old Real Madrid superstar, most especially the eyebrows, but with a serious expression on its face. However, the hair looked a little dull and somewhat light, compared to Ronaldo's trade mark hair style. It also seemed like the figure had a few extra pounds packed on it. It is dressed in the Portuguese national team uniform.
Ronaldo was delightful to have another wax figure of him and thanked the museum for such work of art.
"It is a pleasure for me to have a figure almost like me," he said.
Having the figure dressed in the national jersey of Portugal is a brilliant idea so that even if he moves to a different club, the wax figure would still be valid.

In June, the most popular wax museum Madame Tussauds, with various branches all over the world, also launched Ronaldo's wax figure in New York. In 2011 and 2012, his wax figures were also unveiled in Berlin and London, respectively.
Creating wax figures of sports personalities like Cristiano Ronaldo is a very tedious job. Ronaldo's measurements had to be taken in detail. He had to devote time for the sculptors to gather his measurements perfectly. Each characteristic of the figure has to be scrupulously crafted to ensure that it would look like him, before he is immortalised in wax. The fans of the footballer in Madrid can now get up close and personal with him through the wax figure. All they have to do is visit the museum.
The Museo de Cera Wax Museum has over 450 wax figures, which include Tom Cruise, Marilyn Monroe, Picasso, Cleopatra, and more.
On Dec. 3, Ronaldo announced that he would be opening his own gallery in his birth town, Madeira. The said gallery will feature all the awards and honours he has received all throughout his entire football career.
