South Africa take on India in the second of the two One Day Internationals (ODIs) to be played between the two nations on Sunday. The game will be held at Kingsmead, Durban.

Overview

South Africa bounced back after their series defeat against Pakistan in front of their home fans by a brilliant all round performance with the bat and bowl during the first ODI against India as they defeated the world champions by 141 runs.

The Proteas batted first after MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first. The host took advantage of India's poor bowling attack as South Africa posted a mammoth total of 358 runs for the loss of four wickets from 50 overs.

Hashim Amla opened the innings for South Africa along with Quinton de Kock. The wicket-keeping batsman was the star player for AB de Villiers' side after he scored 135 runs from 121 deliveries, which included 18 boundaries and a six.

De Kock was well supported by Amla as the two put on 152 runs partnership for the first wicket. De Villiers managed 77 while JP Duminy's 59 from 29 deliveries helped the hosts pots a huge total.

Indian top order were struggling in facing South Africa's bowling attack that boasts the likes of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Lonwabo Tsotsobe. Virat Kohli (31) and Dhoni (65), along with Ravindra Jadeja (29) helped the visitors in avoiding an embarrassing defeat before being bowled out for 217.

Dhoni and his men will be looking to bounce back in the second ODI to  avoid a series defeat away from home.
