Music composer Anirudh's elder sister Vaishnavi tied the knot with Abhinav in Chennai on 6 December.

The wedding took place in a traditional ceremony with the presence of family members, friends and film celebrities. Anirudh's father is Ravi Raghavendra, who happens to be the brother of Latha Rajinikanth. Ravi has also acted in Tamil films as well as television serials.

Entire clan of Rajinikanth, including the actor, wife Latha, daughters Aishwarya, Soundarya and son-in-law Dhanush were present at the grand occasion. Other celebrities including Anushka Shetty and veteran actor Prabhu also attended the event. [To see pictures, click here]

Later, Anirudh posted a message on his twitter page thanking everybody for their wishes to his sister's marriage. He tweeted, "Thanks for all your lovely wishes towards my elder sister's wedding today. Truly emotional day for the whole family. Tk u all! Love, Anirudh"

Anirudh became famous with the popular number "Why This Kolaveri Di" in Dhanush's film "3". The song crooned by Dhanush was one of the biggest hits of 2012 and gave the actor national fame. Interestingly, "3" was his wife Aishwarya's directorial debut.

Anirudh has also composed songs for "Ethir Neechal", produced by Dhanush's production banner Wunderbar Films. The young musician worked on the sound tracks of "Vanakkam Chennai", which is currently popular among the masses. He also did the background scores for Arya-Anushka's latest release "Irandam Ulagam."

Anirudh's next album is "Maan Karate", starring Sivakarthikeyana and Hansika. The film's audio launch is all set to take place on Valentine's Day.
