PlayStation sold over a million units on its first 24 hours. This proves the strong consumer base and interest that Sony garnered throughout the years. Nonetheless, for those still hesitant if they should buy the console or not should take some time to check what the gaming unit offers to realize why a lot of people bought it already. Despite the competition against Microsoft's Xbox One, there are several reasons why people should consider getting a PS4 instead.

Entertainment Access for Free

Imagine access to entertainment without settling a subscription fee. That is a win-win situation for buyers. Although Sony made some changes to its online multiplayer asking for a certain fee, people can still access the entertainment offering for free. This means access to Hulu, Netflix and other media apps that will normally charge for extra fees. For gamers who also use their consoles for entertainment purposes, then this is a huge deal. Microsoft requires people to create an Xbox live account for users to stream entertainment media. Although some subscriptions are free, free access still wins.

Games

Many agree that Sony dominates the arena of first party games. These include Infamous Second Son, Killzone Shadow Fall and Unchartered. Many consumers expressed first party games as their primary reason why they preferred PS4 over Xbox One. Although Sony has not divulged fully what people can expect from its first party titles for 2014, many expect the Japanese tech giant to use excellent graphics and new engine to provide the best gaming experience.

PS Vita Remote Play

The PlayStation 4 allows people to go into remote play through the PS Vita. This means, gamers can play their PS$ titles using their Vita through WiFi and without fear of losing their data. This will be convenient for those sharing devices or consoles with people in their household or friends. They can switch easily between devices without worrying if they will lose their game data.

People can also switch over Messaging or Party Chat allowing people to continue their conversations. Users can also connect Vita and turn it into a secondary controller for some games.
