Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turns 48 on Saturday (2 October), and like in the past, he has invited journalists to his Mannat home in Bandra, Mumbai.
"I feel very weird when people celebrate my birthday with great enthusiasm every year. So, you all reporters are invited. Come to my home. We will sit down, have cold drinks and chat and all," ANI quoted the actor as saying at a recent event.
Shah Rukh Khan, who is known by the name "King Khan" given by the media, is not getting any younger but his energy both on and off the big screens is like that of a 21-year-old man. He has acted in more than 70 films in a career spanning over two decades and he is here to stay for a long time.
He made his film debut in 1992 with "Deewana" and went on to do critically acclaimed and commercial hits like "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge" (1995), "Dil To Pagal Hai" (1997), "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (1998), "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (2001), "Devdas" (2002), "Swades" (2004), "Chak De! India" (2007), "Om Shanti Om" (2007), "My Name Is Khan" (2010), and "Chennai Express".
He is currently busy shooting "Happy New Year" directed by Farah Khan and produced by his wife Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. The film also features Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles.
