With screenplay by Simon Beaufoy who wrote, “Slumdog Millionaire,” the book is based on “The Perfect Distance.”
The sports drama is about the rivalry between Olympians Sebastian Coe and Steve Ovett. They became household names in 1972 and they are regarded as the “fastest middle distance runners in the world,” Entertainment Weekly said.
As stated in the summary of the book, "The Perfect Distance," Coe and Ovett has broken each other’s records in 1980s.
It said: “As far apart as possible in terms of class and upbringing, their rivalry burned as intense on the track as away from it. The pendulum swung between the pair of them—each breaking the other’s records, and, memorably, triumphing in each other’s events in Moscow in 1980.”
Radcliffe rose to international stardom after finishing “The Harry Potter” series. The English actor is rumored to work in upcoming films, “Frankenstein,” “Horns,” and comedy film, “The F Word.”
