Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen and attacker Ryo Miyaichi, were in utter dismay over their side's 2-0 defeat in the hands of Chelsea in the Capital One Cup.
"I would say it [my performance] was not good enough. I'm not satisfied on my individual things but we have a lot of games to go so I want to prepare for that. Let's focus on Liverpool on Saturday." - Ryo Miyaichi
"It is a bit disappointing of course," Vermaelen told arsenal.com.
He reiterated that while the scoreline suggest that The Blues took full control of the game, such was not the case as luck could have been the determining factor that led to the opposition's victory.
"I don't think they had a lot of chances to be honest, especially in the second half when we dominated the game. We couldn't create a lot of chances ourselves but at the end it's quite a disappointing result."
Vermaelen pointed out that his side just lacked enough concentration that led to goals from Chelsea.
"The first goal is always important, you always want to take the lead in such a big game. It's quite disappointing they got a 1-0 lead, it was a goal we could avoid - I think both goals [were avoidable]."
"I think we started well in the second half, pushing higher up, and we had the most possession of the ball. That's why the second goal killed it a little bit."
The Belgian is determined to continue his side's fine form in the English Premier League against Liverpool on Saturday and forget about the minor bump experienced in the League Cup.
"It's really important for the league, we need to respond quickly," he said.
"It's good the game is on Saturday and we can respond on the defeat from Tuesday night."
Meanwhile, Ryo, who started the game, was not satisfied with his performance and committed to bounce back on an individual level.
"Obviously we were disappointed, for me as an individual as well," said Ryo.
"I would say it [my performance] was not good enough. I'm not satisfied on my individual things but we have a lot of games to go so I want to prepare for that. Let's focus on Liverpool on Saturday."
