The best official photograph of His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge has apparently been saved for last.
The photograph of the Duchess of Cambridge cradling him, and the future king bursting into giggles was the best portrait of the day. The picture was complete with his proud dad, Prince William looking on. That was by far the most intimate of the christening portraits released.
Four official photographs of Prince George were released on his christening day.
The beautiful images were taken by celebrity photographer Jason Bell in the Morning Room at Clarence House right after Britain's future king's private baptism ceremony at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace.
The baby wears a hand-made replica of the royal christening robe. In one snap he is seen with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, arms raised and mouth open.
Another portrait shows the royal family and the Queen affectionately looking at baby George
In an iconic photograph, the Queen is seen with three heirs to the throne together for the first time. The 87-year-old monarch posed with her son, the Prince of Wales, grandson William, and great-grandson, George.
"He's not always like that but I think he enjoys all the different people and I think there was lots of action going on. He gets slightly distracted. He was such a good boy - actually we're very lucky," the Duchess of Cambridge gushed about her son's exemplary behaviour.
