Kate Middleton and Prince William have reportedly purchased a luxury baby transport for Prince George.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's three-month-old son will commute in the £1,450 Silver Cross Balmoral pram.
"They received it in August and they have been using it," an insider told Us Weekly.
"This stunning pram is the perfect example of stately elegance and noble good looks, teamed with masterful engineering," the product description for the pram, on department store John Lewis’s website reads, "The steel bodied pram rides upon a C-spring chassis which is cushioned with leather suspension straps and chrome spoked wheels, ensuring the pram glides along the ground seamlessly. Featuring a lever operated brake and a wooden handle with a high gloss finish.
"Expertly handmade in Yorkshire, the Balmoral is the ultimate classic pram with beautiful detailing including hand painted body, hand stitched fabrics and finished in a high-gloss. The pram comes complete with a reclining hood, matching protective apron, leather harness and a chrome shopping basket."
Silver Cross, founded in 1877, is known as the Rolls-Royce of pram manufacturers. Indeed, the company claims to have invented the modern pram. The most exclusive pram currently offered on its website is an 800 limited edition item styled in conjunction with luxury car maker Aston Martin.
Despite George's opulent conveyance, the new parents chose to carry their child at his christening ceremony, held at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace on 23 October.
