One Direction is an enormously famous boy band. Because of this, the popular waxworks' museum Madam Tussauds decided to immortalize the boy band stars. This gives a chance for the fans to meet and hug their idols, but there is a warning for fans.
The One Direction wax figures have topped the "most requested" list of wax statues. The figures recently landed in Madam Tussauds, Sydney, Australia.
In this museum, you can touch the attractions and get a close look. The museum authorities claimed the figures have been crafted with special wax giving them a robust structure.
"We have many special tricks and means of removing lipstick. Due to the unique nature of Madame Tussauds attractions and being able to get up-close and touch the wax figures, they are made to be very robust and durable. The special wax used to make the figures is real Japanese Bees wax, which is very strong," Kitty Brennan of the Madame Tussauds, Sydney, said.
The museum has spent over $220,000, 800 hours and over 60 artists to make one wax figure.
Although the fans now have the chance to meet and hug One Direction boys, a warning has been issued regarding ticket touts who may fake the tickets on eBay and Gumtree for any One Direction Live events.
Reportedly, One Direction fans' vulnerability to these touts may result to getting fake tickets. According to The Daily Telegraph, Sydney ranks second in ticket scams in Australia.
"Unfortunately, this makes them very vulnerable to scammers. They need to be extra vigilant when shopping for tickets online and never to buy from a site that doesn't offer a 100 percent guarantee that you'll get the tickets you paid for, in time for the event, or your money back," he added.
