Beyonce is causing a stir in Aussie. Her fans are ecstatic that she is found in the land down under for a series of shows for "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour Starring BEYONCE," in Australia.
A lot of her fans have been clamoring to see her in the flesh. She was reportedly spotted at a photoshoot in Brunswick creating a ruckus with many people trooping to the location.
Brunswick, a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia is now on the map with Beyonce's presence. She was seen posing for a photoshoot there then she proceeded to the Retreat Hotel nearby.
Her die-hard fans flocked to the area to get a glimpse of her. With their cameras, they took photos and videos of the singer. She was radiant in white and graciously smiled and waved to her fans.
Social media was all abuzz after her photos surfaced online. It even inspired funny memes on Tumblr. (Click here to check it out.)
According to reports, Beyonce posed on Beith Street, in front of a rustic home.
It's evident from the crowd that herfans were not just limited to teenagers as adult women were also excited to see her.
But the owner of the house where the photoshoot was taken had no clue who Beyonce was.
Jeanette Meadows, 80, said she was approached by a man who asked permission to use her house to take a few photos.
"When the man knocked on my door to ask if they could use my house to do the photos I thought he said they were with his fiancé, not Beyonce," she told Herald Sun.
"I didn't even know who she was," she added.
Meadows has lived in the house for over 50 years with her husband Roy. She did not even bother to peek outside to check the photoshoot and she wasn't able to meet the star.
She was paid a cool $300 for letting them use her house as backdrop for the photoshoot.
"It was the easiest money I've ever made. I should do it more often," she jokingly added.
Meadows next door neighbor Ali Phillips was also clueless about the Beyonce photoshoot. He only knew about it when he noticed the gaggle of fans outside his house.
He did admit that he was notified of a photoshoot earlier, but was not informed who the subject was going to be.
Prue Jopson, manager of Hungry Birds cafe, learned about it from a customer and she checked it out.
"One of our customers came in and said "I'm pretty sure I just saw Beyonce," Jopson said.
"It was like she was posing for photos or maybe filming something. There was a lot of security."
"She was in this amazing white fur coat, a leotard and heels ... she was all shiny," she added.
She said she went back armed with food and coffee from the cafe but the group was already gone.
The Brunswick house has become popular because of the incident. Several fans went there to imitate Beyonce's pose.
Even actor Kipan Rothbury, 28, jumped on the bandwagon and posed for pictures at the venue as well. He wore a red wig and a blue leotard with white fur coat.
Rothbury is currently working on the Greenlight Pictures film "Daimon," which is filming scenes in Sydney.
Meanwhile, Council spokesman Carlos Ibarra said the organizers of the photoshoot didn't need a permit because it was done on private property.
