In the countdown to the Microsoft's Xbox One launch, the console's manual has been leaked online, revealing some vital information which pique the interest of potential buyers.
Kazebyaka, one of the users in NeoGAF, has posted the pdf file manual of the console. Some of the information revealed by the post includes:
- Minimum distance of 1.4 metres required between the Kinect 2.0 and the user.
- Diagrams indicate Kinect 2.0 cannot be mounted on a surface which is more than 1.8 metres higher above the console.
Additionally, the manual, which is assumed to be in Portugese, also indicates that the console should not be placed vertically. This further supports the statement made by Albert Panello, senior director of product management and planning at Xbox, who stated that the console "doesn't support vertical orientation," reported Gamespot.
The manual also acts as a guide for connecting Microsoft Xbox One with the internet.
Meanwhile, it has been found that the gaming console will not support all Windows 8 applications. "The suggestion that all Windows 8 apps run on Xbox One is not accurate," stated one of the representatives to Forbes.
The representative, however, hinted that the firm might be working behind the curtain to bring the applications to a gaming platform. "Microsoft is committed to making it easier for developers to bring an app from one platform to another, but we have nothing more to share at this time about apps on Xbox One," he added.
The Xbox One OS is said to be a little different from the usual versions. Gamers would have to wait for a while to experience the apps on the gaming console.
Xbox One is scheduled for launch on 22 November in North America, Australia and New Zealan and several European markets. The remaining markets in Europe and Japan would get the consoles in 2014.
