Android and iOS phones may be popular but for those who prefer a Windows phone, the Nokia Lumia 925 is a good option. Here is a review of the specs, features and price of the device for readers who are considering buying the device.

Design and Display

The Nokia Lumia 925 comes with a 4.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, rendering 768 x 1,280 pixels resolution and 332 ppi pixel density. The display is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and comes with PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display.

It comes with 129 x 70.6 x 8.5 mm dimensions and weighs 139 grams. It comes in black, white and grey colours.

Hardware and Operating System

Powering the Nokia Lumia 925 is a 1.5 GHz dual core Krait processor coupled with a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset. Its internal memory comes in 16 and 32 GB variants but has no Micro SD slot for additional memory.

Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system, with a modest 1 GB of RAM, runs the device. The OS can be upgraded to WP8 Amber. 

Camera Specs

The Nokia Lumia 925 is equipped with an 8 MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilisation, autofocus and dual-LED flash. The camera comes with the company's PureView technology. The device has a secondary camera which is 1.3 MP.

Camera Features

The Nokia Smart Cam allows users to take a burst of photos; users can later choose the best photo. The Action Shot feature allows users to take a photo of a fast-paced action, like running on the beach, in sequence. The sequenced photos can be placed in one photo to show the person in different positions in the same photo, giving it a cinematic look.

The Remove Moving Object feature allows users to edit the photo to remove any other person who may have walked into the shot. The Change Faces feature allows users to capture the best expression of different people in the same photo; users can choose the best expression from different photos and put the best expressions in a single photo.

Additional Features

The additional features on the device include free songs on the Nokia Music, additional details of the city in street view using the HERE maps. The device also comes loaded with the Microsoft Office and can be charged wirelessly, without needing to plug into a charger.

Battery

The Nokia Lumia 925 comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 2,000 mAh battery, which allows users a talk time of up to 12 hours and 40 minutes on 3G or music play of up to 55 hours.

Price in Australia

The Nokia Lumia 925 4G LTE variant is priced at around AU $449.95 for the grey colour version, AU $479.95 for the white colour version and AU $469.95 for the white colour version.
