Nokia World event is set to kick off on 22 October at Abu Dhabi (UAE) at 11:00am local time (12:30pm IST).
The gala event in the desert city is understood to be Nokia's swan song show before the company gets acquired by Microsoft in early 2014. Hence this event encourages tech fans to wonder how many new gadgets will the Finnish firm unveil tomorrow.
Here is the list of devices which are expected to debut on 22 October:
Nokia Lumia 1520:
Lumia 1520 (aka Bandit), which is said to be the company's first ever phablet, reportedly sports a 6.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display and is expected to run on the updated Windows Phone 8 OS GDR (General Distribution Release) 3 version, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core CPU.
Other specifications include Adreno 330 graphics engine, 2GB RAM, 3400 mAh battery. The device is said to come in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. Like its high-end siblings, Lumia 1520 is also expected to boast a top-of-the-line 20.7-megapixel PureView camera.
Nokia Lumia 2520:
Many believe that the Lumia 1520 phablet will be the only show-piece of the Nokia event but rumour has it that Finnish company has another flagship device in its bag to flaunt: a 10.1-inch full HD (1920x1080p) based Lumia 2520 (aka Sirius), the first ever Nokia tablet. It is speculated to run on the Windows RT OS.
Under-the-hood, it packs 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 64GB) and battery, which is said to give back up to 10 hours.
Lumia 2520 will reportedly house a 6.7-megapixel main camera and 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera.
Nokia Lumia 525, Lumia 1320 and new Asha 500 series smartphones:
Apart from brand new devices, Nokia is also rumoured to launch upgraded versions of the existing Lumia and Asha models. Lumia 525 is said to be the successor of the company's top selling handset, Lumia 520. The new device is expected to see few bump in specifications compared to its predecessor.
Whereas Lumia 1320 (aka Batman) will be similar to the 4.7-inch model Lumia 625, boasting 5.0-megapixel main camera and 0.3-megapixel secondary camera.
On the other hand, Nokia's budget-phone fans can expect new Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503 debuting at the Abu Dabhi event. As of now, there are no reports on key features of these entry-level smartphones but they are certain to come with improved connectivity features like 3G and Wi-Fi.
Besides smartphones and tablets, Nokia is also rumoured to unveil a new Bluetooth technology based accessory, 'Treasure Tag'. This device reportedly comes with a strap to hook things like house keys and other important stuff.
Once strapped to the thing, People can track the item (if lost accidently) using their Windows powered Nokia phones, reported The Verge.
