Lea Michelle Opens Up For The First Time After Cory Monteith's Death, Says She 'Lost two People' [PHOTOS]
Ever since the tragic death of Cory Monteith, Lea Michele remained silent and never shared her grief. But now the 27-year-old actress and singer has opened up about her sudden loss, saying that she "lost two people" when Monteith died. The "Glee" star says that she has not only lost her boyfriend but also missed his Glee alter ego Finn Hudson.
''I feel like, for me personally, I've lost two people: Cory and Finn,'' Michele spoke candidly to TV Week Australia adding that it was not really hard for her to carry on with work after Monteith died as everyone is there to support her. What was more difficult for her was to lead a normal life when she is alone. For her, TV work has actually been a big help she mourns her boyfriend's death.
''Everyone is asking: 'Is it hard to do this? Is it hard to be back at work?,' but the truth is it's no harder at work than it is in life so we might as well all be together as a family supporting each other to get through this together,'' the Glee star said.
Michele and Monteith were together as a real-life couple for over a year before his death in July and it was heartbreaking for her to see her boyfriend struggle from substance abuse. Monteith died from an accidental drug overdose, his autopsy reports suggested.
The actress misses the love of her life and remembers the time she spent with him. "I really woke up every single day feeling like I was being in some sort of spell or something, that I was lucky enough to have him in my life," she said.
''There was no greater man than Cory, so for the time we spent together I consider myself very lucky," she continues.
A tribute episode of "Glee" for Cory Monteith's character Finn Hudson is scheduled to air Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
