Taylor Swift has achieved great success at a young age with seven Grammy Awards and eleven Country Music Award. But the 23-year-old has now set a new record with the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
The organization has chosen the "Love Story" crooner as its songwriter/artist of the year. This is her sixth win, beating out five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson. She's also the youngest artist to win the honor.
Nashville Songwriters Association International award recognizes Nashville acts that have achieved Top 30 singles. Swift charted 14 Top 30 songs from July 2012 through June 2013. The gorgeous singer will be presented with the awards at her very own Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.
The center is the brainchild of Taylor Swift who pledged a hefty $4 million in 2012 - the largest single donation made by an artist in the museum's 46-year history. The awards and induction ceremony will be held on Sunday night at the Music City Center.
The Swift center consists of two floors and includes three classrooms and a learning lab in addition to an interactive children's exhibit gallery, which will be opened in 2014.
"In school, I was taught a certain amount about music, a certain amount about theater, and that interest sparked something in me. It made me look elsewhere to learn much more about it," Swift told USA Today.
"I think, for me, it's just going to be so interesting to see Nashville continue to be this hub for music, and this hub for music education. I love the fact that people are coming from all over the world to go to school for music (in Nashville), I love the fact that this is now a new opportunity for kids to be a part of programs that are going to help them know more about what we do here," she continued.
Taylor Swift has also been confirmed to perform at this year's Country Music Association Awards. The Nashville-born songstress will join the likes of Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Big Little Town, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan at the 37th Annual CMA Awards.
The event will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood when at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and will air on Wednesday, November 6.
