Google's newly announced Android software version, 4.4 codenamed KitKat will be reportedly coming for some of the Samsung's Galaxy devices.
4.4 KitKat is expected to come on several Samsung
A leaked screenshot of an internal document for Samsung's Knox security suite, which is obtained and published by Sammobile from certain insider, reveals that Android 4.4 KitKat will be coming for a couple of Samsung's Galaxy devices. As the document notes, the Galaxy Mega (including both Galaxy Mega 6.3 and 5.8) and Galaxy S4 Mini will get Knox pre-loaded with the Android 4.4 update.
The document does not list Samsung's flagship smartphones such as newly released Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. This indicates that both the aforementioned Galaxy devices (Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S4 Mini) will be updated to Android 4.4 if the mid-range Samsung Galaxy devices are receiving the latest version of Android software.

Prior to this, a Samsung representative confirmed to XDA member, dxzh that Android 4.4 KitKat will be rolled out to Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 to extend the regional lock. Therefore, it is highly likely that Samsung will update many of its devices to Android 4.4 in 2014.
The insider revealed that Knox will be pre-installed on all the aforementioned Galaxy smartphones once the devices receive Android 4.4 software update. But the Chinese variants will reportedly get only the Knox installer pre-loaded. Besides, some carrier-locked devices might hide Knox in case the operators decide to opt out of the service.
Google announced the successor to Android Jelly Bean as Android 4.4 KitKat, which is expected to make its debut with the upcoming Nexus branding smartphone. The Nexus 5 is said to be Google's first device running Android 4.4. Google has been recently rumoured to unveil its new Nexus smartwatch, codenamed Gem alongside Android 4.4 KitKat on 31 October.
