Ranbir Kapoor's film "Besharam" has crossed the ₹50-crore mark at the Indian box office.

The business of the action comedy, which also stars Pallavi Sharda, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, dropped further with just ₹2.43 crore in earnings on its first Monday. The earnings of the film went down by 50 percent that day compared to Friday's collection.
Since the second day of its release, "Besharam" has been witnessing a drastic decline in its collections. On Sunday, its business improved to around 20 percent. But the overall collections during the weekend was not up to the mark.
"#Besharam Wed ₹ 21.56 cr, Thu ₹ 7.13 cr, Fri ₹ 5.68 cr, Sat ₹ 5.94 cr, Sun ₹ 7.38 cr, Mon [revised] ₹ 2.43 cr. Total: ₹ 50.12 cr nett," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
In fact, the first weekday collections of "Besharam" are significantly lower than that the earnings of "Phata Poster Nikla Hero".
"Phata Poster Nikla Hero" also opened to negative reviews from critics and audiences. The Shahid Kapoor starrer was released across 2,000 screens in India, which is much lower than "Besharam" screen count that stands at 3,600.
The first Monday collections of "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" stand at ₹3.15 crore, as against the ₹2.43 crore earned by "Besharam".
In an another setback for the film, "Besharam" is said to lose out screens due to its poor business, causing a further drop in its collections. "
On an average, 'Besharam' will lose 50 percent shows because of its poor performance at the box-office," a source in a suburban multiplex told The Times of India.
