One Direction boys are set to disappoint their Kiwi fans. The English boyband requested the administrators of the Christchurch Airport to keep them out of their tween fans’ sight when they arrive ahead of their New Zealand concert on Thursday.

The boys – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik – are due to play at the CBS Canterbury Arena in Christchurch on October 10. And as true with tween heartthrobs visiting another country, the fans of the all-boys pop group are expected to mob the airport and scream their hearts out as they greet their idols upon arrival.
Unfortunately, Kiwi One Directioners will be disappointed to know that Christchurch International Airport will be hiding their idols when they arrive sometime this week.
“If you’re wondering about 1D – please don’t come to the airport next week in the hope of seeing them,” a message on the airport’s Facebook page reads.
“They have asked us to tell you they won’t be visible to the public. They won’t be available for photos or autographs. Sorry to disappoint you, but you won’t see them here.”
The airport quickly clarified to upset fans that it was the band’s decision to hide out from the public and not the airport management’s. As they explained, “Safety concerns had led 1D management to request we keep them out of public spaces.
@wtfnarry sorry we can't offer any more information but remember this is what the band mgmt has requested, not the airport.

But One Directions from New Zealand are nothing if not determined. Some doubted how the airport could keep five big stars from being seen by the public, vowing that they wouldn’t be discouraged by that firm announcement to stay away.
“Could ya keep them?” a Facebook user Joshn Neill asked.
“Josh, we have lots of places we could hide them – and we will be using some of those places to keep them ‘invisible,’ but no, too many fans will want to see them on stage ,” the airport answered.
After their concert in Christchurch, the band will travel next to Auckland to perform at the Vector Arena for two nights on October 12 and 13.
