Grey's Anatomy Season 10 spoilers are always better when they are from series creator Shonda Rhimes. The Shondaland queen has dished some spoilers in separate interviews. Here are some of her updates on a big wedding, Sandra Oh's exit, and Bailey's husband Ben.
A Big Wedding to Unfold in Grey's Anatomy Season 10
In a TVGuide.com interview, Shonda Rhimes says there will be wedding in Grey's Anatomy Season 10. But she wouldn't confirm whose wedding it will be. "I've been planning one, so I think we're going to see one, yes," Rhimes said.
Still, April Kepner (Sarah Drew) fans expect her to soon wed either paramedic Matthew (Justin Bruening) or Jackson (Jesse Williams) in Grey's Anatomy Season 10.
There are Mapril (Matthew and April) fans and Japril (Jackson and April) shippers. When asked on Twitter which "team" she's in, Sarah Drew said she couldn't choose.
"I love being on this show. It's exciting to get to constantly be surprised by who your character is," Sarah told Wetpaint Entertainment in an interview. The operative word being "surprise," there's no telling whether Mapril is only a misdirection to an eventual Japril conclusion. Or, someone else could get married.
Justin Chambers (Alex Karev) and Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson) have a good chance at really making things work. Fans who ship Jo and Alex (Jolex) would be delighted if these two tie the knot in Grey's Anatomy Season 10!
Grey's Anatomy Character Exits: Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang to Leave End-Season
Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey, was a guest on The View on Sept. 23. She told the audience Grey's Anatomy Season 10 will go down in history as Sandra Oh's "best acting season ever."
For her part, Rhimes wouldn't confirm whether Sandra Oh gets to leave Grey Sloan Memorial alive. But she said the creatives have been avoiding the thought of Cristina Yang leaving.
"We have 22 episodes to really enjoy Cristina and love her, so we're just going to enjoy ourselves doing what we're doing now," Rhimes told TV Guide.
Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 4: The 200th Episode is Called, "Puttin' on the Ritz"
On Thursday's Grey's Anatomy Season 10, Episode 4, fans will enjoy nostalgia as the series treats viewers to a night of celebration.
"I'm just going to say, if you're going to a fancy party on Grey's, you better watch yourself because you never know what's going to happen," Wetpaint quoted Rhimes as saying.
Miranda Bailey and Husband Ben Marriage in Trouble?
Jason George, who plays Miranda Bailey's husband Ben, is expected to get busy with Lifetime's "Witches of East End." His other series, "Mistresses," has been signed on for a second season. It has become doubtful whether he could still fulfil his role on Grey's Anatomy Season 10.
"It's always good news for Bailey and Ben when Ben makes it up to Seattle, but it's a long distance relationship and that wears and tears on everybody," TV Guide quoted George as saying. Reading between the lines, the outlook does not seem to be sunshiny for Chandra Wilson's Bailey.
