The collections of "Attarintiki Daredi" (AD) seem to have dropped as result of protests in Seemandhra over the bifurcation of the Andhra Pradesh state.

According to reports, there is a drastic fall in the film's collections even in the Nizam area, where the Pawan Kalyan starrer did fantastic business. "AD" earned its highest collections amounting to ₹13.10 crore from Nizam in its first week, followed by ₹6.35 crore in Ceded.
The film created an all time record by raking in ₹49.24 crore in its first week at the worldwide box office. The film's collections are likely to have crossed the ₹50-crore mark in the last two days. However, the overall collections during its second weekend (4-6 October) are expected to decline due to political unrest in the state. The official second-weekend figures are yet to be announced.
If the situation in Seemandhra eases by Monday (7 October), one can expect "AD" to collect a decent share in its second week. The family entertainer, reportedly made on a budget of ₹55 crore, is likely to recover its production cost by the end of the second week.
But if the Seemandhra protests continue, it might affect "AD" collections to a large extent. Moreover, the film which enjoyed a solo run at the Andhra box office will face strong competition from Jr NTR's "Ramayaa Vastavayya" (RV), which is scheduled to hit screens on 10 October. But, there is uncertainty over "RV" release due to the Telangana issue. The film's producer Dil Raju had earlier stated that "RV" will either release on 10 October or a couple of days later. He assured that the film will surely make it to theatres during the Dussehra festival.
If "RV" does not release on the stated date, "AD" will continue its run in theatres and get a chance to collect some more revenue. The Pawan Kalyan starrer, which did exceptionally well in the US, is likely to collect more revenue from the overseas territories for the next few days.
Nevertheless, the film has already been declared a big hit in the Telugu film industry. A thank you function was organized for 6 October, but was later cancelled by the makers. There were speculations that the event was cancelled due to the Telangana issue. However, producer BVSN Prasad has rubbished the reports and said that the event was not called off due to the announcement of Telangana, reported Indo-Asian News Service. He also added that the event will happen on a different date and will be announced soon.
The entire cast and crew of "AD" including Pawan Kalyan, who usually refrains from attending public gatherings, are expected to attend the event.
