Bollywood film "Grand Masti" has stormed the box office with extraordinary figures since its release in Septmber. The Indra Kumar directorial now requires a few more crores of rupees to touch the ₹100 crore mark in India.

The adult comedy made record breaking collections and remained unaffected with a big release like "Phata Poster Nikla Hero".
But with the start of its third week of theatrical run, the film's collections have declined sharply. It raked in approximately ₹60 lakh and ₹65 lakh on the third Monday and Tuesday, respectively, taking the overall total to ₹96.5 crore.
Though new releases did not affect the collections much, it brought down the film's screen count. After the release of "Besharam", the screen count has declined even further.
"Besharam" has opened to a good occupancy of around 90 percent on Wednesday, which means the collections of "Grand Masti" would see a huge drop despite it being a national holiday.
On a positive note, "Grand Masti" may benefit from the negative reviews for "Besharam" which might help it cross the century mark by the fourth week.
The film's star cast - Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani, and other team members were not expecting the film to earn even ₹90 crore.
"The dialogues were turning out to be funny and the actors felt that a lot of it was unbelievable. Everyone enjoyed what was heard and read but to bring it in front of the camera was a different ballgame altogether. We knew that for something as outrageous as Grand Masti, only an 'A' certificate would have been appropriate. That further meant reduced audience. To go ahead and score a ₹100 crore for a genre and set up like this was a near impossible task," the film's writer Milap Zaveri said.
