YouTube is all set to launch the YouTube Music Awards which will take place on Nov. 3. Lady Gaga is likely to perform at the music award ceremony.
The very first music award ceremony by the online video giant is also expected to feature Arcade Fire and Eminem as well. The venue of the award ceremony will be Pier 36 in Manhattan, New York City. The ceremony is going to be streamed live online.
The online video streaming company which revolutionised watching videos online in the last decade has always depended on the power of the public opinion. This time, the company is going to follow similar trends as the winners are expected to be chosen from the most popular videos on YouTube. The names of the award nominees are going to be publicised on Oct. 17.
Jason Schwartzman is going to host the award ceremony which will reportedly feature events from various other cities in the world including London, Brazil, Seoul and Moscow. The creative director of the event will be Spike Jonze, the filmmaker who has already directed popular music videos of Bjork, R.E.M. and P. Diddy.

Roar (Katy Perry)
This song is from Katy Perry's album "Prism." It has received well by critics. It was considered to be a "determined note" and expected to be an instant hit. The prediction worked as the official music video on YouTube reached 100,403,766 hits as of now.
Applause (Lady Gaga)
This Lady Gaga song is from her album "Artpop." The lead single of the album was released in Aug. 2013. The lyrics of the song was tweeted by Lady Gaga much before the release of the song. The official YouTube video turned out to be an instant hit. The music video has reached 66,553,941 hits as of now.
