Bollywood film "Grand Masti" has reached another milestone by crossing the ₹100 crore mark at the overseas market.
The Indra Kumar directorial has become the seventh film to enter the century club this year in the worldwide market.
The other six films that have reach the mark worldwide include "Race 2", "Aashiqui 2", "Raanjhanaa", "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" and "Chennai Express".
"The major chunk of the global collections comes from the Indian market with a collection of ₹ 95.25 crores, other territories, though lower in comparison; have pushed the film into the ₹100 crore club," Adarsh said.
The film, starring Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi, requires only ₹5 crore more to cross the coveted mark.
Several new films were released in the past two weeks, but none have affected the box office run of "Grand Masti". Even "Phata Poster Nikla Hero was overshadowed by the adult comedy at collection centres in India.
"None of the new releases has been able to make its mark at the box office this week, which helped Grand Masti make its position stronger. Now all eyes are set on Krrish 3," trade anlayst Amod Mehra told Mid-Day.
Now, it remains to be seen if the the film, which has shattered all records in the adult-comedy genre, will continue its successful streak at the box office after the release of Ranbir Kapoor's "Besharam".
