Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update for Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, HTC One Comes with 13 New Features!

Samsung finally announced the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 to be released starting in October 2013. HTC also confirmed Android 4.3 for the One smartphone, scheduled on the same month as well. Know the 13 new features of the official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware coming to your smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Update

Android 4.3 is official for the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 after several months of rumours that Samsung might not consider it. But now, the dream firmware, which is expected to bring several new features, bug fixes amd updated security patches, is coming to owners of these three devices.

AndroidCommunity caught the timetable of the French network carrier, SFR, as to  when the update will reach their respective devices. According to the timetable, the Galaxy S4 will receive Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in October, while Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 owners need to wait until late November or December 2013 for the Android 4.3 firmware. All Samsung updates are going to be pushed via Samsung Kies PC Suite and Firmware Over-the-Air procedure or FOTA.

Samsung's new firmware update may include several features from the Galaxy S4 to be ported on the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 such as new TouchWiz UI, new lock screen, new home screen, exclusive Galaxy S apps and new camera modes.

HTC One Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

SFR also revealed the official Android 4.3 firmware for the HTC One smartphone which was revealed as well by the U.S. network carrier, Verizon. According to AndroidCommunity, the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software for the HTC One has 1.10.605.10 version number with the following changelogs:

1.      Device lock-ups have been reduced

2.      Internet accessibility for the visually impaired is now supported

3.      Update to ISIS Mobile Wallet

Android 4.3 Firmware Features

Aside from HTC and Samsung, the smartphone will also receive default Android 4.3 Jelly Bean features such as:

1.      Bluetooth Low Energy aka Bluetooth Smart

2.      OpenGL ES 3.0 for improved game graphics

3.      Restricted access mode for new user profiles

4.      Dial pad auto-complete

5.      Improvements on the Photo Sphere if applied by HTC or Samsung

6.      Reworked camera user interface

7.      4K resolution support

8.      Wi-Fi background location scan

9.      Developer logging and analysing enhancements

10.    Five additional languages

11.    Improved digital rights management or DRM APIs

12.    Right-to-left or RTL languages now supported

13.    Clock disappears from status bar if used as lock screen widget
