Off the bat, there is no doubt there are many fans of Sony's PS4. But news and developments related to the console have been surfacing, which can be the big break for Sony's PS4 to seal the deal for the win.
Contrary to the previous announcement that Sony will not be bundling any games with the PS4 next-gen console, the official word is out: you can expect one game bundle coming in along with another PS4 accessory.
At the Eurogamer Expo, Sony has finally announced that it will have new bundles to offer those who have also pre-ordered their own consoles.
Mega Bundle and More Affordable Bundles
One is the PS4 mega bundle, to be made available at GAME, where you can get the PS4 console, a second DualShock 4 controller, the PlayStation Eye Camera and a copy of "Killzone: Shadow Fall." All of these are available for £449.99, which is around £20 more expensive than the Xbox One.
"Everybody who has pre-ordered in the expectation they're getting just the PS4, including the DualShock 4 and the headset--the basic configuration," said Fergal Gara of Sony UK to Eurogamer.
"But as we've worked through the details and worked through the options we've come up with some great bundle offers. And it is only fair the first people in the queue get first chance to get that," he added.
However, there are also two other bundles that are more affordable, such as the PS4 with "Killzone: Shadowfall" or the PS4 console with a copy of "Watch Dogs," both of which are available at £399.99.
PS4 Comes Out as Winner in Latest Poll
Polls and predictions have often put the PS4 at an advantage. Previous results have pointed to the fact that the PS4 was more open and accommodating to players, while the Xbox One was riddled with policies.
Now that these policies are gone, you'd think that Microsoft's next-gen console will have a greater shot after showcasing a lot of big exclusive games. But the latest poll from Reuters/Ipsos showed that gamers in the U.S. prefer the PS4 as their upcoming holiday gaming device.
Studying a group of 1,297 people online, the poll had found that 26 percent of respondents chose the PS4 compared to 15 percent chosing the Xbox One. Sony's very constant approach to next-gen gaming, focusing solely on gaming while keeping the benefits of added entertainment in the fringes was one of the reasons for choosing the PS4 over the Xbox One.
There are also the remaining advantages, such as the $100 difference, which puts Sony's PS4 at a lower price; the wide array of both independent and AAA games; and the higher technical capabilities of the PS4 as a hardware.
Of course, there are some who may assume that the poll is lopsided, with many answering only for Sony, while those who may choose Xbox One do not necessarily voice out their opinions. But this is just one of the many pre-launch polls where the PS4 already won.
The PS4 is set to release on Nov 15 in the U.S. and on Nov 29 in Europe, while the Xbox One will be released on Nov 22. Which console will you be getting?
