LG recently released their 2013 flagship smartphone, G2 running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it seems that they are also the co-maker of Nexus 5 which will run Android 4.4 KitKat. Both smartphones resemble each other with almost the same specifications; so which of the two LG phones suit your needs and budget?
LG G2 2013 Flagship Smartphone
LG equipped the G2 with the latest hardware in the market which includes 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 graphics chipset and 5.2-inches screen with 1080 x 1920 full HD display resolution.
Moreover, the smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and 13MP rear camera shoot with optical image stabilisation and video stabilisation. LG G2 features several add-ons for better user experience such as:

Nexus 5 vs. G2
GSMArena posted the unofficial technical specifications of the Nexus 5 and LG is the displayed manufacturer of the upcoming smartphone. However, both devices are close to one another but upon deeper inspection, it will tell you which suits your needs and your budget better.
1. Android 4.4 KitKat
Nexus 5 will run the next-generation Android version - 4.4 KitKat - which predicted to bring major changes and improvements to the Android ecosystem. LG G2 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which will take some time before getting KitKat OS. Nexus 5 owners will get ahead on getting the latest features of Android 4.4.
2. User Interface
LG has its own user interface called Optimus UI which is found on the G2. Customised UI and launcher have a larger storage consumption compared to the Vanilla Android UI. Android 4.4 KitKat is lighter compared to Jelly Bean which means little storage capacity needs and smaller consumption on the RAM.
3. Developer Edition
It is expected that a Developer Edition Nexus 5 may be released as well after Google official launches the original Nexus 5. Developer Edition smartphones have larger internal storage capacity compared to other model variants and features an unlocked bootloader which developers and advanced user can play it by flashing custom ROMs.
4. Performance Difference
Although it is not noticeable, Google Nexus 5 sports 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor while LG G2 features 2.26GHz of the same chipset. While the RAM might be something to consider for on Nexus 5 which boasts 3GB of RAM, 1GB bigger than LG G2's 2GB RAM.
5. Price Tag
LG G2 is very expensive compared to the Google Nexus 5. LG G2 unlocked price may cost at least $550 per unit which is not comparable with Nexus 5. Nexus 4 currently being sold at $229 unlocked without any contract and it is expected that the next-generation may have to reach $400, maximum.
Google Nexus 5 is set for launching on October 14, 2013 alongside with Android 4.4 KitKat in commemoration of Android's upcoming anniversary.
