"Breaking Bad" fans must be going through different stages of emotions at the moment -- from curiosity to fear. One of the most critically acclaimed shows of recent times, "Breaking Bad," is ending on Sunday night and what will be happen to Walter White (Bryan Cranston) -- and other principal characters -- is still a mystery. Vince Gilligan, the creator of "Breaking Bad," had said in one of his interviews, the end is going to "polarise" the audience. Polarise the audience is better than disappoint the audience.
In the preview of "Breaking Bad" Series Finale, "Felina," we get to see some old clips of Walt as chemistry teacher and hear him say "Chemistry is the study of transformation."
The five seasons of "Breaking Bad" showed the transformation of milquetoast chemistry teacher into a drug-lord -- the man who transformed chemicals into the blue, crystal meth.
In the previous episode, Walt was packed-off to New Hampshire. It wasn't a fresh start for him but the beginning of his end, and all things in "Breaking Bad" must end in Albuquerque. The landscape in and around Albuquerque has been one of the characters of "Breaking Bad" and Walt is returning to the town as he still has got things to do.
Every chemical process that starts the transformation of something ends at some point. Likewise, Walt has to stop his transformation and end the game. The endgame includes the wiping out of Jack (Michael Bowen) and his Nazi gang and getting the due credit for the flourishing business that Elliot (Adam Godley) and Gretchen (Jessica Hecht) run. The Patch-up with family looks like is a far-fetched scenario.
Walt had started the process of transformation with Jesse (Aaron Paul) beside him. The end cannot happen without their final confrontation.
According to a Forbes report, more than 8 million viewers are expected to tune-in to watch the series finale of "Breaking Bad." Brad Adgate, senior vice president for research at Horizon Media and an analyst of television business, said to Forbes, "the show's last two episodes clocked in with more than 6 million viewers each."
