Photos: Gert Elfering’s Kate Moss Collection to Make over £2m at Auction [PHOTOS]

A collection of pictures and artworks of Kate Moss is expected to reach more than £2m at auction when pieces go under the hammer at a Christie's auction.
Kate Moss - From the Collection of Gert Elfering shows the supermodel by artists such as Annie Liebovitz, Sam Taylor-Wood, Chuck Close and Allen Jones.
The sale will take place in London and although most pieces in the collection are photographs, there are also sculptures and paintings of Moss. If each piece in the collection reaches its top estimate, the sale will make £2,165,000.
Other artists in the sale include Mary McCartney, Craig McDean, Irvnig Penn, Mario Sorrenti, Juergen Teller, Mario Testino, Ellen von Unwerth and Albert Watson.
One highlight is Chris Levine's hologram of Moss, entitled She's Light. The lenticular print on lightbox is expected to reach up to £15,000.

She is the subject and inspiration for this collection, but the importance of the present works is in her collaboration with the internationally renowned artists who created them.

"Kate is the ultimate modern muse and we will be seeing her images in major museums and private collections for years to come.

Philippe Garner, director of photographs at Christie's, added: "Gert Elfering has applied his great flair as a curator to the concept of bringing together a group of outstanding works around the theme of the greatest icon of style of the modern age, Kate Moss."
