The final stage of the fourth edition of Jagran Film Festival 2013 kicked off at Fun Republic, Mumbai, on Tuesday with the screening of Israeli-Palestinian film "Water". Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
"It's a pleasure to be here today. A total of 99 films will be screened in four days during this festival. It's really great. I have attended many film festivals but a lot of international films will also be shown in this festival. I hope this festival continues forever and forever," IANS quoted Akshay as saying at the event.
"I try to follow world cinema as much as I can but there are around 180 films releasing in a year in the industry, so I try to catch those films as well. I try my best to watch Korean and European films," he added, admitting that he has no time to watch films.
Jagran Film Festival 2013, which began in Delhi, came to Mumbai after a touring across 15 cities. The festival will conclude on 29 September with a prize-giving event.
