After adding up the numbers, GTA 5 has already broken the 24-hour record by earning $800 million. And now, The Verge reports that three days after the release date of GTA 5, it has passed its $1 billion mark.
"We believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone," said Rockstar Games in a statement quoted by The Verge.
But now, as October draws closer, eyes are starting to turn towards GTA Online, wherein the latest news involves the possibility of online support for as many as 32 players.
Cinema Blend reports that these findings are based on close examination of the configuration settings of the game, multiplayer modes, and activities for players.
That's not all. For up to 32 players, you can get into Freemode, which does not allow for teaming up options. So if you are more inclined to work with a partner or your own gang, GTA Online also has the option of two-player support.
Other modes in GTA Online include Deathmatch mode, Team Deathmatch mode, Races mode, and a Cops and Crooks mode. The definitive details will most likely come in October, when GTA Online will be launched.
Crashes in GTA 5 for Xbox 360?
It seems that not everyone is able to enjoy GTA 5 just yet, considering the number of crashes for Xbox 360 consoles. Even with many reinstallations or hard drive changes, Videogamer reports that these do not fix the problem.
What may shed some light on this is that the consoles that have been manufactured between 2006 and 2008 maybe experiencing the issues, and Rockstar Games developers are already in the process of looking if a fix or update can solve this.
Aside from GTA 5 game crashes, disappearing customised cars are also a problem. Tracked by Polygon, the bug is said to make the vehicles vanish. One temporary solution for this is for you to avoid parking your cars in garages.
According to the report, the GTA 5 customised cars should also not drive cars that are already in other garages or getting into a default vehicle while playing as a character that's anyone else except for the character with upgrades.
For now, Rockstar Games has assured its gamers that it is already gathering data to work on the possible update for GTA 5 that would prevent this from happening. Keep watch for any more word from the developers as they happen.
