One Direction members Liam, Zayn and Louis, arrived in Australia at the Adelaide Airport Sunday, Sept 22, for their much awaited Take Me Home Tour. They arrived at the airport at about 8 pm from a flight from Dubai.
One Direction spent $27,000 for seven nights in a Titanic-style LA mansion for the last leg of their North American tour.
Fans waited for 13 hours to see their idols, but apparently, Liam, Zayn and Louis passed the back entrance of the airport.
Girls cried over not seeing the three members of the One Direction.
"I just feel really let down because we were so excited to see them and the least they could have done was poke their head out and wave before they left," a 17-year-old fan sobbed in an interview with News Corp Australia.
Liam, however, apologised through a tweet.
"Sorry we couldn't stop in the airport they said it wasn't safe???? great to be in oz tho (sic)."
Meanwhile, One Direction continued to play Finding Waldo with their Aussie fans as social media was flooded with unconfirmed sightings and misinformation. One Direction was reportedly seen staying in a North Adelaide private residence or the Barossa Novotel. But fans had already queued hours on Sunday afternoon outside the Crowne Plaza.
Blond heartthrob Niall avoided media and fans but was reportedly visiting family in Melbourne.
Even with all the misinformation proliferating, One Direction fans continue to follow where their idols were reportedly heading.
The Lucky Ones
Unlike his bandmates, Harry Styles, waved and exposed himself to the screaming fans. This amiable behaviour from Harry had also made the fans cried but with tears of joy.
Bianca Clarke, drove from Murray Bridge to the Adelaide Airport. Thanks to Bianca's dad who was more than willing to drive her, Bianca was able to see Harry.
"We have done three trips, here and back again last night and back again this morning. I'm a dedicated dad, I have heard a lot of the music," Bianca's father told News.com.au.
Harry made himself visible to his fans through standing on the air bridge and waving to his fans. Harry was then taken to a side door for exit.
Fans tried to follow Harry's car off the road but police had prevented them.
Those girls who were overwhelmed to catch a glimpse of their idol were left crying on the ground, hugging each other, and screaming, saying they could not believe they actually saw Harry.
