Tech giant Apple just rolled out its new operating system and users are already experiencing a slew of bugs and problems in iOS 7 download.
Amidst the excitement in the release of iOS 7 worldwide, Apple users faced various issues and problems in installing the new OS.
Most users expressed their disappointment to social media and posted the issues they encountered in installing the new OS. Some Apple users reported installation issues wherein a warning error pop-up saying "software update failed." While others are saying that they were unable to connect to the iTunes Store to update the apps.
In line with this issue, users from different countries reported issues on the activation servers. The culprit could be the first day download traffic jam as millions of devices are updating worldwide and Apple servers overloaded.
Other users who successfully downloaded the iOS 7 update were unable to complete the installation and were informed that "Software Update is unavailable at this time".
Apple boasts that the security features of its devices and that the company is taking the security of its users seriously. However, it is reported that iOS 7 download yields to a lock screen hack that allows other users to gain access to an iPhone’s stored photos as well as the email and Web services accounts the device’s owner uses to share them.
Apple said that it is already working on said issue on the security breach. For the meantime, users disable the access to lock screen at the Control Center. Go to Settings > Control Center, look for “Access on Lock Screen” and toggle it off.
iOS 7 packs new features such as AirDrop, Control Center, and iTunes Radio that can eat up the battery life of your devices. If you will not use these features, it is better to turn them off to prolong the battery life of your gadget.
iOS 7 overhauled its design and interface making it look quite different from the previous iOS. This is received by users differently. Some are delighted by the change while others think that iOS 7 resembles Android icons.
Another feature in the new OS is iTunes Radio that expands the existing iTunes. It allows user to have their customized music streaming service that users can build around their favourite artists and stations.
The iOS 7 was announced last June at the WorldWide Developers’ Conference and is available to iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5th Generation, iPad 2, iPad 4 and iPad Mini. Users can download iOS 7 through Over-The-Air update or via iTunes.
