The paparazzi spotted "Amazing Spider-Man" stars and real-life couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield in a New York City restaurant where they had lunch. Instead of avoiding the prowling photographers when they left the restaurant, the adorable couple decided to use them in conveying a message to raise awareness on charity.
The signs that Emma and Andrew held showed hand-written messages that reads: "We just found out that there are paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in. So...why not take this opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it? www.wwo.org www.gildasclubnyc.org. Have a great day!"
According to the Worldwide Orphans Foundation official Web site, their mission is to "transform the lives of orphaned children and help them to become healthy, independent and productive members of their communities and the world."
The other Web site written on Emma and Andrew's signs advocates for the Gilda's Club NYC which is a support network for people suffering with cancer. The club has been named after the late comedian Gilda Radner who suffered and died from ovarian cancer in 1989.
It is really nice to know that the couple show their concern and desire to help the orphans and the cancer patients through the media. According to the HuffingtonPost report, actor Andrew Garfield is an ambassador for the Worldwide Orphans Foundation.
The 30-year-old "Social Network" star aids in empowering the orphaned children through athletic programs in places such as Haiti and Ethiopia, which he visited last spring. His girlfriend Emma Stone recently joined her triple negative breast cancer survivor mum in a campaign that supports for early cancer detection.
The 24-year-old "Easy A" star revealed to USAToday that the campaign became an eye-opener for her. "To me, as her daughter who was not going through that incredible struggle, I had this insane amount of clarity. Because I realized - all you have is the present," Ms Stone stated.
