Late night host and comedian Jimmy Fallon is turning 39 today, and he's never been happier. The new dad can't stop gushing about his daughter Winnie Rose who was born via a surrogate in July 23 after battling for 5 years with infertility.
Jimmy Turns 39.
Fallon, 38, and his wife movie producer Nancy Juvonen, 46, welcomes their new bundle of joy with great anticipation after trying all method of conceiving. Fallon announced the good news in his show "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon", saying:
"Everybody starts crying and it's just really happy because we tried for a long time - for five years," he said. "I know people have tried for much longer, but if there's anyone out there who's trying and just losing hope, just hang in there, try every avenue. Try anything you can do because you'll get there, you'll end up with a family and it's so worth it. It's the most worth-it thing."
"We've tried a bunch of things and anyone's who's tried will know, it's just awful," he said. "We tried before, and we told people and then it didn't happen, and it's just really depressing, it's really hard on everybody so this time we said, 'We're not gonna tell anybody.' It would just be more fun if it's just private between me and my wife and then we get to introduce her to everybody."
When asked about the origin of his daughter name, Fallon reveals, "It's not Winnie-the-Pooh at all, even though I do love Winnie-the-Pooh. Nancy, my wife, and I got engaged in New Hampshire at this lake house that her family's had forever. It's on Lake Winnipesaukee. We went there every summer as we were dating and [since] we got married. And I got engaged on the dock."
Now that the birthday boy has a new inspiration we can all expect high energy shows as he sets to take over for Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." Jimmy will be replaced in his late night show with another SNL alumnus Seth Meyers.
Jimmy is indeed at the top of the world as he doubles his million dollar salary when he takes over the top-rated NBC show. Insiders predicted he will be earning $5 million when he fronts the night show, and a whooping $12 million if he gets head-to-head with Letterman and Kimmel.
