Stefani Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga, at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
The eccentric pop star Lady Gaga talks about her drug use and lesbian sex in one of her most candid interviews to date.
The Born This Way singer is no stranger to controversy, having worn a meat dress and appearing on the red carpet in an egg, spoke about using the drug Molly during her "raver days".
During an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she also talked about enjoying sex with women, saying, "Well, I've taken a few dips in the lady pond. I like girls... I know people think I just say things to be shocking, but I actually do like p***y. It just depends on whose p***y it is."
The 26-year-old said she finds lesbians more "daring" than heterosexual men.
She explained: "For me, it's similar to how I feel about guys. It's more of an energy thing. I used to go to lesbian clubs all the time. I like them because I find lesbians to be way more daring than straight men, when it comes to coming on to you.
"And I really like that. And it wasn't until I found a guy that could come onto me as strong as a lesbian that I fell in love."
However, not everyone from the gay community was jumping for joy at Lady Gaga's girl-on-girl revelations.
One pundit on Queerty fumed: "I think the days of famous people pretending to be gay or bisexual is over. She needs to grow up and admit she is straight. I find it insulting that she pretends to be bisexual to get the gays to buy her music.
"It isn't cool for her to lie to use like this and it wasn't cool when loser David Bowie did the same thing in the 1970′s. Then a few years later they marry someone of the opposite sex, have children and never speak of being bisexual again. STOP USING FAKE SEXUAL ORIENTATION FOR ATTENTION!"
As for taking her drug use, Mother Monster (as she is called by her fans) did have a warning.
"I think maybe it's hard to remember," she said, before cautioning: "Be careful with Molly. I definitely wouldn't encourage it because it can be dangerous, especially if you don't know where you're getting it from."
Molly is a pure form of MDMA (ecstasy), a party drug known for its use in rave culture. It recently came on the pop culture radar as stars like Miley Cyrus refer to it in their music (Cyrus sings about Molly in her hit single, We Can't Stop.
