Newly leaked photos of the HTC One have emerged online. The photos show an alleged HTC One in a gold colour.
The next iteration from HTC is not expected to be unveiled until early 2014. The new leaks suggest that the company may have taken a cue from the newly launched iPhone 5S. The gold colour sported by the newly launched phone has become a talking point in the industry.
The new leak was posted on Android Authority. The post claimed the source of the leak to be a Chinese Web site. The leak was made on a site which is Chinese version of Twitter.
The year 2013 has been marked by smartphone manufacturers focusing on the body, design and colour offerings on their respective smartphones. The iPhone 5S was offered in a new gold colour where as the iPhone 5C was launched in five different bright colours.
Motorola recently launched the Moto X based on the customization theme. Customers were allowed to choose from the body material of the phone to the choice of the colour. Motorola offered a multitude of colours to choose from.
Another interesting aspect of the HTC One photo leak to be noted is that now more and more devices are leaked online. Some analysts feel that smartphone manufacturers may not be able to stop the leaks completely.
Most of the leaks, analysts agree, seem to be coming from China. The manufacturing of smartphones is outsourced to China to take advantage of the cheaper costs of production. The current HTC One leak is also said to be from China.
Some Analysts are also of the opinion that the leaks help the companies. A leaked image or video of a phone helps create a buzz. In this instance the media and tech bloggers will be talking about the HTC One weeks before the actual launch.
Some bloggers also reportedly earn a good income from the leaks. Australian teen Sonny Dickson reportedly said that he could buy a Louis Vuitton bag with the money he made in amonth.
Dickson has reportedly claimed that the source for the leaks is in China. Can we expect more devices to have their photos leaked?
