iPhone 5S and 5C have been unveiled, customers are eagerly waiting to get their hands and fingers on the new devices. Major U.S carriers like Verizon and Sprint have announced the time when pre-orders will go live.
The official Verizon Web site says that the iPhone 5S and the 5C will be available for pre-booking on September 13 at 3.01 am EST. The carrier makes a pitch to be chosen with the tag line "iPhone Deserves the Best Network." The official Sprint Web site says that the iPhone 5C will be available for pre-order on September 13 at 2 am EST. The information is posted along with an enticing picture of the smartphone in green, blue, yellow, pink and white.
Both the carriers have elaborated the features and benefits of the iPhone 5S and the 5C. A comparison of the two smartphones has also been added to make the choice a little easier for the customers. Verizon, for example has highlighted the finger print scanner on the iPhone 5S first. Called as "Touch ID" by Apple, the feature unlocks the smartphone after reading the finger print of the user and ascertaining the identity.
The A7 chip on the iPhone 5S is said to give faster performance and the M7 processor is said to be efficient in terms of battery life. The smartphone comes with an 8MP camera which allows users to shoot 1080p HD videos and also create slow motion effects.
The features of the iOS 7 and iCloud are explained for the iPhone 5S by Verizon. The cases of the phone come with aniline -dyed leather and are lined with microfiber. Similarly the features of the iPhone 5C are also explained by Verizon.
The official Web site of Sprint also enumerates the features of the two smartphones. The "colourful" options of the iPhone 5C are first highlighted by the carrier.
The A6 chip on the iPhone 5C is shown to render good graphics and being economical on battery life at the same time. The 8MP camera on the phone allows users to take pictures in multiple formats like square and panorama.
The Touch ID finger print scanner is not available on the iPhone 5C as it seems to have been sacrificed for making the phone more affordable. The iPhone 5S will be the new flagship phone by Apple.
The price of the iPhone 5S or the 5C were not mentioned by the carriers but according to the official Apple Web site the 5S is priced at $199 and the 5C is priced at $99.
