"We'll be changing the minecart speeds to twice the current speed in TU13."
Though the developers have already mentioned in the forums that the current speed of the minecart for "Minecraft: Xbox 360" is at par with what the PC version has, many have thought that the speed of the cart was a bug rather than the norm.
4J Studios has already announced that after the big TU12 rollout, which introduced a number of new items such as ocelots, harder zombies and more, as well as mash-up packs and texture packs, TU13 will be a smaller one.
In order to help improve the TU12, 4J Studios has been moderating the Minecraft forums very heavily for any bugs that gamers can find. The ones that have already been responded to are expected to have fixes once the next update rolls out.
So far, the minecart speed is the only officially announced included bug fix in the TU13, but there is surely more to come once 4J Studios has laid out the plans and fixes.
More TU 12 Bug Finds from Fans
Speaking of bugs, the thread for bug finds is still the hottest topic in the Minecraft community, with more fans sending in their finds to help the developers fix them in time for TU13.
Here are some of the new finds from gamers: "Animals don't seem to be taking care of their young anymore. When I pull wheat out they all follow me, even the babies. In the previous release when an animal had just bread it would have stayed with the baby for a while well those that hadn't bread would have followed," Payjin wrote.
Impetigo69 has also created his list of bug finds which primarily revolve around ocelots and animals. For the ocelots, he pointed out that they do not spawn when starting a world in peaceful mode, the number of ocelots are far too many in jungles and that they do not stay put when sitting.
As for the animals, he raised several concerns:
- Animal sounds TOO loud and too often, particularly with ocelots. In particular, Impetigo 69's suggestion is for possible specific controls for the sounds.
- Animals get confused when following you whenever you have wheat or seeds in hand.
- Animals popping through fences/gates/walls, particularly when they are crammed up against the structure and are pushed through by other animals.
A couple of users have also confirmed that there is an issue, wherein Mob heads (villagers and ocelots) are spinning around. 4J Steve on the forums has asked the fans personally, which can hint that this is another bug fix that will find its way into the TU13.
'Eldritch': Magic Meets 'Minecraft'
At first look, you are bound to ask if you are not looking at a possible horror version of "Minecraft" when you see the video trials circulating in YouTube like the one seen below from TraithGaming.
You will be going through the game through a first person POV - see the extended arms in front of you on the screen - though TraithGaming has stated that the indie game is a surprisingly good one, as can be seen in the first impressions videos.
The blocky appearance of the overall game screams "Minecraft," but developer Minor Key Games created more than just blocks and action with this new game.
A brainchild of David and J. Kyle Pittman who had been onboard for "Borderlands" and "BioShock 2," Kotaku reported that the brothers have described the game as a "Lovecraftian action roguelike" game.
"Eldritch" will be available come October 21, so be ready to slash and kill some strange-looking monsters and explore the new world beyond dungeons and dragons. The game is available for pre-order at $15, with a beta access come the last week of September.
