Manchester United midfielder Anderson is hoping to gain the trust of manager David Moyes by proving he is over his injury nightmare.
The Brazilian has endured an injury-plagued six-year career at Old Trafford since joining from FC Porto in 2007.
Across six seasons Anderson has made just 173 appearances for United, scoring just nine goals, scant return following the club's £20m investment in the 25 year old.
Injury and a dramatic loss of form had sparked suggestions Anderson could be surplus to requirements at United given the recent emergence of Tom Cleverley, however the effervescent midfielder is confident of making an impression.
"I just want to play as many games as I can," Anderson said. "I just hope I can stay clear of injuries.
"I've been training hard on the training pitch and in the gym, and working on my conditioning. I am pleased with how things are going and, whenever the manager needs me, I will be ready.
"I have been doing more running, which has helped my fitness. The physios in Portugal have helped me a lot, as have all the coaches at United. I have also been working hard myself. I have built up the strength in my knee, worked hard in training.
"I have been eating well and sleeping well, while I have also been coming into training on my days off to do more work. It has really helped me and I feel great."
Anderson made substitute appearances in the Community Shield against Wigan Athletic and the Premier League opener against Swansea City suggesting he can expect to be regularly involved this term.
Nani, who was signed in the same summer window in 2007, has endured similar form and fitness problems to Anderson but earned a five-year contract last week.
And the Brazil international is hopeful of making a lasting impression.
"I think it's a big season for me," he added. "For everyone. However, I don't want to say that and then pick up another injury. I have often started seasons well, played six or seven games and then got injured.
"I'll tell you at the end of the season if it's been a big season for me!"
