"Fifty Shades of Grey" fans were quite disappointed with the official cast for the film adaptation. Not to worry though because there is another novel that's bound to capture their attention. "Beautiful Bastard" by Christina Lauren is getting attention from a handful of fans, and rumour has it a movie might be in the works.

Like E.L. James' novel that started out as a fan fiction, "Beautiful Bastard" was originally an online read as well that was initially titled, "The Office." After garnering almost 2 million reads, Christina Lauren's story has been updated and released as a novel. For those who have yet to hear about the book, the synopsis is as follows (via Goodreads.com).
"An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling."
"Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He's exacting, blunt, inconsiderate - and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard."
"Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family's massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who'd been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative - completely infuriating - creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he's never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe's so tempting he's willing to bend the rules - or outright smash them - if it means he can have her. All over the office."
"As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they're willing to lose in order to win each other."
"Beautiful Bastard" is one out of many "Beautiful" series each with their own tale written by Christina. Thanks to the wide fan base, a movie deal has been confirmed. Constantin Film acquired the rights to the book, and Jeremy Bolt of the "Resident Evil" film franchise is set to produce.
Given such news, fans of the novel will have to list down suitable actors and actresses for the part. This should certainly take their minds off "Fifty Shades of Grey" and its' unsatisfactory cast.
