Yaya Sanogo admits it was difficult settling into life in England at first but the Arsenal summer signing says having a host of French counterparts at the club has made the move easier.
Sanogo was Arsene Wenger's first signing of the summer and was the perfect fit for the manager's transfer policy of a young player offering potential for future success.
The 20 year old will likely take some time to become a regular starter for Arsenal, despite Wenger suffering from a shortage in strikers and being unable to land Luis Suarez to relieve the situation in the summer window.
And Sanogo has given a taste of life at the club since his move two months ago, saying that he feels comfortable and at home particularly with his fellow French players.
"It is now two months since I'm there. I am adapting well to England," he told Le10Sport. "The pace is different there, it has nothing to do. I'm starting to get my bearings. At Arsenal, they put me in the right conditions.
"I learn slowly. In training, there are so many great players. So, you can only move forward."
When asked if he found it hard playing alongside the senior members of the squad, Sanogo replied: "No, Arsenal is a great club to be sure, but even if I am one of the 'small' players, I'm a player like no other. I have two eyes, two feet like them."
With French players like Bacary Sagna, Olivier Giroud and Abou Diaby on hand to help Sanogo settle in, he says that being from the country has certainly made the change in environment easier to adapt to than perhaps other nationalities would find.
"They put me in the right conditions to make me feel good early on," he explained. "It's better for me to have French as the language barrier, but it is still difficult at the beginning."
