USA Network's legal drama series "Suits" Season 3 Episode 7, "She is Mine," ended on the revelation that Stephen Huntley (Max Beesley) is the one who ordered the killing of six people, and Ava Hessignton (Michelle Fairley) is facing a murder trial because of that. Suits Season 3 Episode 8, "Endgame," puts an end to Ava's case arc. She is off the murder trial and also there is dissolution of Pearson and Darby business marriage.
Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter
In the previous episode, "I'm sorry" from Donna broke Harvey's (Gabriel Macht) stoic demeanour and he had a fight with Stephen. In "Endgame," he tells Donna (Sarah Rafferty) that Stephen is going to pay. Donna is burdened by the thought that she did not see that Stephen was capable of doing such an act.
Darby (Conleth Hill) confesses to Jessica (Gina Torres) and Harvey that he knew about Stephen's involvement, and that he knew that Stephen acted, without Ava's knowledge. However, he cannot testify because he never asked Stephen about that. And, he knew the murder trial was coming even before the merger. Jessica and Harvey ask him to do something, if he cannot testify against Stephen.
In his office, Stephen is unable to make a call. Donna enters and tells him that, she cut the phone connection off to gain his attention. "How can you live with yourself?" she asks. "Just came to tell you here that you make me sick." She calls him a murderer, and that he made her someone who slept with a murderer. Stephen argues that the six people who got killed were terrorists, and her firm also does the same thing. Donna says that her firm does not kill people. She informs him that Darby signed his pink slip and that she is there to tell him that he is fired.
Mike (Patrick J. Adams) tricks his way to meet Colonel Mariga to shake his testimony and convince him to tell the truth about Stephen's involvement. However, Mariga refuses to do that, not on principle but to protect himself. Harvey meets Cameron (Gary Cole) and tells him to change the deal, with Mariga and he will tell the truth. Harvey tells him that he believes that he is a person who goes after the bad guys, and if he guarantees him that he won't use the information against Ava, he will tell him the truth. However, Cameron refuses to buy the argument or give any kind of guarantee.
Colonel Mariga testifies against Ava in front of the jury. Unexpectedly, Harvey calls Stephen to take the stand, and he declines to answer most of the questions. Later, he warns Jessica and Harvey that if they point at him, he will point right back at Ava. When Cameron questions him, why is Harvey pointing at him, Stephen states that Ava had approached him to bribe the witnesses and he had refused to do that.
A confused Ava gets to knows from Mike that Stephen is the person who ordered the killing of six people to get the pipeline deal in her favour. She tells him that Harvey took a calculated risk with her life, without telling her. She confronts Darby and tells him that she treated him like her own blood and instead of protecting her, he has burdened her. She slaps him.
Darby tells Jessica about the kind of relationship that he and Ava's father shared. He says that at the time, it was not possible to be out. Ava joined them when they went out to spend time, together. She pretended to be his girlfriend. "She did for us. Ava is family to me. I sent Stephen to help. I can do anything to undo it." He tells Jessica to put aside her anger and find a way to help.
Jessica tells Harvey that she is tired of feeling betrayed by him and she would rather forgive him. Harvey says, "I should have never come after you, I'm sorry." Jessica is in a mood to reconcile and tells him that she made him want to do that, and she is sorry about that. She has an idea to settle the murder trial against Ava. It is using family and putting them in a situation where they don't have a choice. It is about using Darby.
Harvey tells Mike that prosecutors are like hammers and they like to hit the nail and he needs to remind Cameron that he hit the wrong nail. Mike meets Clifford Danner (Neil Brown, Jr.) and convinces him to confront Cameron. He was wrongly sentenced and sent to prison because of Cameron.
Cameron does have a change of heart but not completely, as he wants a win. He tries to cut a deal and tells that his offer is of eight years. Jessica wants to take that deal, while Harvey says that Ava is not going to prison for a day. Darby steps up and is ready to testify against Stephen. Cameron sees a win there, a clear win without any blemish.
Unaware about the latest development, Stephen is having a drink and Donna goes to meet him. She tells him that he is not bad but much worse than that. Stephen is arrested. Donna gets her sweet little, revenge. Darby finds out that he won't be able to practice in New York and Jessica tells him that there is dissolution and a divorce but she is keeping the ownership of the house. We may have finally got a settlement, too when it comes to Harvey and Cameron. Harvey tells him, "You're not only about winning, but you are about putting guilty people away."
Harvey finds Donna standing outside the building, waiting for a cab. She says, "Thank You!" In reply Harvey says, "Why don't you keep the car (Harvey's car), I feel like walking."
Louis (Rick Hoffman) has a separate track while the murder trial is going on. He is hurting despite getting back his beloved associates. He calls the performance of the associates "pathetic." He is missing Nigel's (Adam Godley) cat and blames Harold Gunderson (Max Topplin) for his loss. We see a battle of wits between the two and Louis gets the final win. Rachel (Meghan Markle), who is watching him go after Harold, relentlessly, asks him why he hates Harold so much. Louis shares a personal experience and tells her that Harold is a failure and he reminds him about his past bad experience.
