Laura Dixon, a 34-year-old Briton who has been vegetarian all her life, claims McDonald's meat menu helped her become pregnant, and her proof is that she did not only have a baby but a set of twin boys and another baby girl!
At present, the success rate of IVF is 25.6% (wiki commons)
What IVF could not solely achieve, she improved her chances of a successful pregnancy by boosting her protein intake, eating three portions of meat daily until she gave birth to twins Max and Mason and later Mia.
Ms Dixon tried in vitro fertilization after a decade of trying to get pregnant minus the help of science. But doctors explained it would be difficult for her to get pregnant because of cysts in her ovary and problems with womb lining.
So on her second cycle of IVF, she suffered a miscarriage. On the third round of IVF, she supplemented it with higher intake of iron, B12 and protein by daily eating chicken, bacon and sausage from the popular fast food chain. She often craved for these food that she had her husband Tim run to McDonald's even late nights.
When McDonald's was closed, her husband would buy chicken and chips from Nandos instead.
However, despite her gratitude to McDonald's for helping her become a mum, Ms Dixon is back to being a vegan. She still eats at McDonald's, but orders only veggie-wrap and French fries.
