Manchester United has finally secured the signature of midfielder Marouane Fellaini from Everton for £27.5 million, according to various sources.
United bound Fellaini
A lot of talk has went on involving the two aforementioned clubs during the negotiation stage of this deal with United bidding below Everton's valuation of the Belgian, which the Blues camp described as "insulting and derisory."
Fellaini took matters to his own hands and handed in a transfer request to Everton, to make sure that the deal will push through.
He will be reunited with his former mentor Everton, David Moyes, and will need not much of an adjustment following his move to Old Trafford.
Fellaini has been nothing less but solid since his arrival from Standard Liege to Everton and has been consistently featured in the starting 11 for the Toffees.
He has gone on to make 163 appearances for the toffees in the span of 5 years and has scored 33 goals.
Given his 6'4" stature, he will be adding a much needed physical presence in the middle of the park for the Red Devils, but that's not the only asset that Fellaini has as he showed his knack for goals last season by being able to come up with a total of 12.
The transfer could not have come at a more opportuned time as United are sitting at the seventh spot of the premier league.
Fellaini will have, at least, 11 days to gel with the team and could possibly feature against Crystal Palace on Sept 14.
