On Sunday, the set of "Unbroken" saw Angelina Jolie back at work. In her latest project, "Unbroken," she has taken up the role of the director. The 38-year-old star looked exquisite on her first day at the set after the long break. She chatted with the crew members at the set.
The whole world was shocked when Angelina announced her decision to undergo this operation. After the announcement, she was seen with her husband, Brad Pitt on the red carpet for his movie, "World War Z."
Now, Angelina is concentrating on her career as the director of this new project she has taken up. The movie is about the life of an Olympic runner, Louis Zamperini who was captured by the Japanese forces during World War II.
Dr. Kristi Funk, a famous breast cancer surgeon, spoke about Angelina's decision for the first time. Dr. Kristi revealed to Extra in an interview that Angelina's decision was not based out of 'fear'.
"She didn't have [the double mastectomy] right away, but probably knew with her family history that it was a choice she would eventually make," Dr. Kristi said.
She further added, "Her decision was not made overnight. It wasn't based in fear."
The decision was taken by Angelina when she was found to be harbouring the BRCA1 cancer gene, which increases her chances of getting ovarian cancer, as reported by Daily Mail.
Dr. Kristi also told the source that she is doing 'perfect' and Brad as 'the coolest' during the treatment. On Angelina's going public with the news, Dr. Kristi said, "I knew that was her intention. She is just philanthropic to the core. She could never keep this a secret, and be who she is! She is someone who wants to save lives and she is doing that every day!"
