'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Producers' Top Three Choices for Christian Grey [PHOTOS]
September has officially begun and still no word from the producers of "Fifty Shades of Grey" about a cast. However, it appears as if some "official" news about the cast has been revealed. Three actors, namely Christian Cooke, Charlie Hunnam and Theo James, have been met by producers for the coveted part of Christian Grey.
Casting speculation for "Fifty Shades of Grey" continues to heat up with three frontrunners for the part of Christian Grey. Early last month, Bryce Thompson was allegedly contacted by producers for the role. Now, three new actors have been met by producers for the role.
First off is "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam. Hunnam was previously rumoured to be running for the lead but had passed on the part. Yet, it appeared as if Charlie had a change of heart and is considering taking on the part. Sources claimed Charlie had met with studio executives for the part last Aug. 23.
The second actor eyed for the part of Grey is "Magic City's" Christian Cooke. Cooke has yet to become a household name which makes him all the more appropriate for the break-out film. Last but not the least is "Divergent" star Theo James. Despite the fact that both Christian and Theo are in their early 20s, producers felt they were too young and, thus, have been searching for two other actors suitable for the role.
With only a year left before the nationwide release of "Fifty Shades of Grey," an official cast should be announced sooner or later. Check out the slideshow to see more of the top three candidates eyed by producers for the part of Christian Grey.
