Troubled star Amanda Bynes appears to have resurfaced on Twitter. She took to her official Twitter account and tweeted: "I love Drake". This post comes a day after the 27-year-old was ordered to stay for up to 60 days at the Hillmont Psychiatric Center. Some observers have speculated that Bynes' account has been hacked.
In August, Bynes' mother was granted conservatorship over her daughter, a judge agreeing that Bynes had "a lack of capacity to give informed consent to medical care".
Recently, rapper Drake responded to Bynes' tweets about him.
"I don't even know who is doing that or what that's about. If that is her, I guess it's a little weird and disturbing. It's obviously a behavioural pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it's her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going," he told XXL magazine.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Bynes has been negotiating a record deal worth $250,000. Daniel Herman of Chinga Chang Records told Radar Online that he has been in touch with Bynes and the negotiations for the deal were on. He had also previously claimed that Bynes was capable of making better music than her crush Drake.
"My record offer to Amanda has not changed one bit in terms of the vision. Part of hip hop is not only struggling, but how one gets out of them. And that is what makes great music. I believe Amanda can work out her issues outside of a treatment centre and I'm willing do anything in my power to make that a reality...even fund it," he stated.
He also added that there was no word about the deal from Lynn Bynes, her mother and her temporary conservator.
"Lynn knows I care about Amanda getting better before we hit the studio. I'm a fan. But so far no word back from Lynn," Herman added.
Bynes was placed in a psychiatric unit after she started a fire in Thousand Oaks, California, last month. The actress has been mired in a succession of messy controversies, starting with an arrest for criminal possession of marijuana; accusing the New York Police Department of sexual harassment; and culminating in Twitter wars with fellow celebrities.
