Finally, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock are in a movie together and not just any movie but a techno-thriller. Playing as two surviving astronauts in the movie "Gravity," these two veteran actors did not disappoint the critics as the movie gained numerous nods during its world premier last August 28, 2013 in Venice.

The well acclaimed premier of "Gravity" and the ourpouring of praises for Sandra Bullock's performance is astounding. From the superb direction of Alfonso Cuaron down to Steven Price's musical score, "Gravity" will restore the audiences' sense of wonder and one's faith in movies to get transported to another realm.
Todd McCarthy from Hollywood Reporter predicts that audience will have a second or even third viewing of this film, for it captures the most realitic outerspace feel which other movies failed at. Indiewire's Oliver Lyttleton also agrees and praises Bullock who plays Dr. Ryan Stone for her performance and that it was Bullock's best performance in a dramtic role.
The story revolves around two astronauts who works in the U.S. space station and their mission gone horribly wrong when their space shuttle was damaged from debris coming from a Russian satellite. Co-written, co-edited, co-produced and directed by Alfonso Cuaron; this movie is packed with breathtaking cinematography that will leave its audience in awe.
"Gravity" will take its audience to another space as the two characters (played by Clooney and Bullock) are trying to survive their failed mission. The film's astonishing clarity and state of the art visual effects will leave its viewers thinking that the movie was filmed in outer space and not on location.
With the production budget of $80 million, "Gravity" was filmed digitally and was converted to 3D in post production. Release date was originally scheduled on November 21. 2012 but it was postponed to complete an extensive post-production effects work, and is set to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on October 4, 2013.
The casting of this film began in 2010 with the likes of Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively vying for the role. But after Natalie Portman passed the project due to scheduling conflicts, Warner Bros. approached Sandra Bullock to play the lead role. For the lead male role, Robert Downet Jr. was the first choice but left the project to work with another film which lead to the casting of George Clooney.
